Yesterday was a FULL fun day for our family. We spent the day at a friends house celebrating her little girl's third birthday, we got my little ones "BIG GIRL" bed set up and my sister and her husband came over for dinner. That's the way a Saturday should be spent. Enjoying time with family and good friends. The Birthday Party yesterday was a tea party. I am a good ol' southern girl with the innate need to be a hostess. I think it's in our blood {smile}... I LOVE a good tea party and with my girls really being into the American Girl thing, it's even more fun. I had a tea party for my 10 year old when she turned 9. It was themed around "Felicity" who is one of the Historical American girls. Felicity goes to school to learn how to be a good hostess and to be able to serve tea in the proper way. We had so much fun coming up with "grown up" things to use for our party. I have been wanting to blog about that party for a long time. Spending time yesterday photographing the birthday party gave me an idea. Over the next week, or so, I am going to do my first series on "Hosting a Tea Party." A tea party can be enjoyed for a birthday party or a wedding party, a book club or a baby shower, for a 3 year old or an 83 year old. Any girlie occasion can be surrounded by this theme. It should be a lot of fun and I have a lot of great photos to show you. To get you in the mood, here are a few photos from yesterdays party.
Enjoy!

That is so adorable, yet elegant! Love the pics!
