Server=DONE! Plus Party Info

Okay, I just updated this post with a HUGE Big Date Mistake I made about the Party. Someone...( most likely someone with tiny fingers:) reset my computer calendar to December on my computer. SO..the 22nd in DECEMBER is a Wednesday but the 22nd this month is MONDAY!
So the party will have to start a little early. We will have to begin on November 17th. If we wait until the 24th its the day before Thanksgiving and a lot of y'all will be out of town... So mark your calendars AGAIN and get crackin' on your projects! You'll have to be done a few days early!!! Sorry about that!!

I am so late posting,I know...My precious 3 year old has had a fever and I have been doing lots of snuggling.(which I don't mind a bit:) My computer is also acting up...I have been feeling like it's going to die any moment so I am in the process of scouting out a new one. It keeps freezing while I am in the middle of things and taking a million years to load.
I also forgot how long it takes for paint to dry when it's cold outside! It has taken me a lot longer to finish this piece than I thought. I had to put 4 coats of paint on it plus stain and glaze but OH MY, I love the way it turned out.
It used to look like this...

and now it looks like this!

I had to stand on a chair to take these pictures because my space is so small. This was the only way I could get a good close up full view! It extends to about 63" long. The size ended up being perfect for my space for now. I am going to put baskets under it, I think, for texture and to hold all of my linens.

The stain that I used is my very favorite General Finishes Gel Stain in Java. The paint is actually a creamy color that was on the 2.oo mis tint section at
Lowes. It's Valspar semi-gloss latex. After the paint dried I applied a Valspar Glaze that I had tinted Cooper Adobe Brown. I have used it over and over again. This stuff will last you forever!

I took some of the edges down with a 00 steel wool. I used it to take off some of the paint on the hardware too. Distressing it a bit makes me feel better because I know if it gets nicked a little it won't show up as bad.
Now, onto my curtains! I am still deliberating on them, but when I get it together I will share it. It will be cheap and budget friendly for sure. I hope all of you have had a great weekend and I am reallylooking forward to the linky party on November 22nd! I am still working on giveaways for that day. Make sure to grab a button and spread the word so we will have a good turn out!
You ALL are fantastic and I look forward to spending time with you everyday. Blessings to all of you. I am looking forward to seeing all of the things you have been working so hard on!!
