PINK...PINK...PINK....I LOVE PINK.... I wonder what it is about pink that defines all things girl. Who came up with this rule? Pink for girls, blue for boys? I don't know...but I LOVE pink! I had the privilege of hosting a baby shower today for my friend Paige. She is having baby girl Piper in a few weeks. She is such a fantastic, sweet and beautiful lady on the inside and the out. What a great little momma she will be....and I mean little. The girl is is a pencil with a bump. Okay... I 'm a little jealous. I gained 75 pounds with my first. I can't believe I am admitting that. I blame it on the high blood pressure because I am not willing to admit that it was really the five million cheeseburger meals from McDonald's that did it. Thank you Jesus for Weight Watchers. Anyway, back to the shower.
My friend Mary Catherine hosted this lovely party at her home and I couldn't help but snap a few photos of some of her rooms. One day when I have a wide angle lens I am going to go back and take more photos. But for now, I'll leave you with a few.
Okay, I have to comment on this. I wish y'all could see the whole bathroom. This gorgeous antique was original to the house and obviously is from France. Is this not unbelievable? The pictures do this NO justice.
This awesome birds nest tag was from Paige as a Hostess gift. She gave them to us on a grapevine wreath and when I got home, I didn't know where to put it! It was to big for my window. So I took it off and mounted it on a large 8x10 frame and it will be going in my bathroom that I am STILL working on. Y'all don't give up on me. I have painted all the walls, I just have not finished the floor. I don't want to show it off until I am done!
Paige ordered them from a seller on Etsy. I am going to find out who it is, and then I will update this post.
Love y'all! Thank you so much for ALL of your comments! I read them all!!

Ok, this is just TOO weird! I was at Paige's baby shower yesterday! I've been following your blog for several months (ever since you found those fabulous french chairs at a local estate sale) and would have loved to have met you. And what a beautiful party it was. I emailed my daughter-in-law afterwards (she and my son are currently house hunting) to tell her about that back "porch." It is too fabulous to call a porch...more like an outdoor den. Now I have pictures to show to her! Thanks for sharing and maybe I'll run into you at the shop in Cahaba Heights!
