MISS MUSTARD SEED

Mom and Katie and I had so much fun together this weekend. It was so nice just getting away from routine. We didn't go with an agenda other than to go to Lucketts. Everything else was just totally up in the air. It was so freeing just to get out and explore an area of the country that we had never seen before. The silos and beautiful barns and farmhouses nestled in the rolling hills were breathtaking. The quaint little row houses, restaurants and shops in downtown Leesburg screamed Mayberry. We enjoyed seeing people riding bikes on the cobblestone sidewalks, a bride getting married in a courtyard, and families riding their bicycles to dinner. Another wonderful aspect of a vacation near the east coast was no BUGS! I don't remember seeing a single fly or mosquito, something I am not used to, living in Alabama. I can't even step outside for a second without being attacked. They eat me up!
I took an enormous amount of pictures and I spent the morning going through some of them. I thought that over the next few days I would share with you my favorite booths at Lucketts along with some pictures of things that I bought while I was there. Obviously I loved meeting Marian. She is just as sweet in person as she is online. Her booth was slammed the entire time I was there and she never once showed an ounce of stress. She always had a smile on her face and took the time to speak to each person that wanted to talk to her and get a picture.

Here are some pictures from her beautiful booth......

I bought this butterfly for my magnet board. I'm thankful it made it home in my suitcase still in tact!

I'll share more with you tomorrow so be sure to come back!
Don't forget to visit the auction page for Restore Alabama. There are just a few more days to place your bids or to put something up for auction.
Today, my heart goes out to the people in Missouri. I know after what I witnessed here in Alabama, these people are going to need our prayers daily as they continue to search for their loved ones, grieve over loss and rebuild their city.

  1. LOVED this post! How you've described Marian is exactly how I envisioned her. Boy do I know how to spot a good one or what. :)

Your road trip sounded so fabulous! I dream of doing something spontaneous like that one day.
