RESTORED IT WEDNESDAY

Hello friends. This Restored it Wednesday is going to be a little different. You will still link your projects up below but I want you to read this first. We got back late Sunday night from Disney when my youngest decided she was going to get the stomach flu. She is still suffering and I am running a little low grade fever with what I think is a sinus infection. I have not had time to sort through all of the links fairly and I wanted to share something else with you anyway. I promise...back to normal next week.
I have heard from so many that are coming here to help from other states that the media coverage of what is going on here is not doing it justice and the Usama thing...... obviously taken the lead in which I know is an amazing and important story as well. But I don't want people to forget what is going on here. It is heart breaking.

I am so proud of my church family and all that they are doing to serve the people of my community. Glenn Beck posted Church of the Highlands at the top of the list as a place to give if you want to help out. He has this to say........

Church of the Highlands in Birmingham, AL - DONATE

The church is organizing a mass relief effort with 25 Alabama churches. The “dream center” in Birmingham is a 150,000 square foot warehouse of supplies they are operating.

YAY GOD! That is all I have to say!! If you feel called to give, I would greatly appreciate you giving to this great cause. You can find out more of what we are doing at www.churchofthehighlands.com/relief. There is so much need.

Cassie at Primitive and Proper inspired me with her Koman Foundation auction.....Something like that is in the works here so stay tuned.........

And Lastly....Remember Urban Green? The fantastic store that I just left a few weeks ago?  This was the damage from the storm that traveled down the street behind me and eventually came down in full swing into Cahaba Heights. This was just an EF2. It completely obliterated the whole city.

I could not figure out for the life of me, why God had called me in there and then told me to leave. Isn't it amazing how He works? I had no insurance!! I am working on that step but not quite there.
The store is done. Shannon will be relocating and maybe one day we can work together again.
Protection....that is all I can say. We can only see what is right in front of us, but God sees what lies ahead. God's plans and His purpose for our lives are so much greater than any trial, any sickness, any storm or hardship we may face. He sees the BIG picture.

All right my friends.....Now link away! I want to see what you have been up to this week! I will be back next week to share my favorite. I promise!
