Is the silence deafening? So sorry I have not said a word since Tuesday. My oldest is really struggling with her asthma. We have been in the ER one night for 5 hours, and two days of in office monitoring with Nebulizer treatments, being there for at least 3 hours each time. She is exhausted and still having a lot of trouble bouncing back. Even with all the treatments, the steroids and the antibiotics, we are still struggling and it's day 3. If she is still having to have treatments every 2 hours tomorrow, they will have to admit her to Children's and that is what I do NOT want.
I have obviously not accomplished anything in the painting department over the past couple of days. Bare with me as I get her back on her feet. She is on complete activity lock down until Sunday, basically bed rest. I may need you to pray for my sanity too through the weekend!
We have another appointment in the morning.....prayers appreciated! Love you guys!

My five year old has it and its just plain awful. I had it too as a kid. So I completely empathize. I hope she gets healthy soon.
ReplyDeleteMy oldest has asthma I spent may hours where you are when she was younger. There is hope, she's an adult now and her asthma seldom troubles her. I understand all to well what you and your daughter are going through. I'll keep you both in my prayers. I hope she is better very soon.

ReplyDeleteOh Kelli, I am so sorry she is struggling so much. Asthma can be just horrible with children. I am so praying for you that they will able to help her get it under control and you do not have to go to the hospital. I know there are probably many reasons you can't spend more time there. I am so sorry for your struggles. Prayers coming from here in California. -K

ReplyDeleteAsthma isn't any fun! I suffer from it, and remember many times as a small child spending hours under the oxygen tent and the nebulizer treatments...though they were a huge relief!!
ReplyDeleteI will say a prayer for you guys. I hope she feels better soon.
Family is first....I will keep her in my thoughts and prayers. My niece has asthma and Ive seen her do the nebulizer and I know its not fun.
ReplyDeleteI pray she will be better soon with a smile on her face!

ReplyDeleteI am sending prayers and healing thoughts for you and your daughter. My son also struggles with asthma. We have been in the ER a few times trying to clear out his airways-so I completely understand how frightening and worrisome it can be. My thoughts are with you. May she be well very soon.

ReplyDeleteThis weather is definitely bad for people with asthma!! Prayers and best wishes for you and your family!
ReplyDeleteour prayers will join the others... for you both. Our good vibes coming your way!
ReplyDeleteI am truly sorry you are going through this with your daughter. But, I have an answer, asthma is "food related" let me say that again, asthma is "food related." I know I sound crazy, but it's true. I told a friend about this not even a year ago and not only is her asthma all but gone, she also saves hundreds of $$$ a month in medications she no longer needs! I gave her the name of my natural (holistic) doctor and she checked it out for herself, and the result is aforementioned. Please find a reputable, well-educated natural doctor and find out for your self and for your daughter. I read your blog faithfully and love it, but have never written until tonight. I felt I had something significant to offer, since you asked for prayer, which I will also do for you & your family. God bless you & thank you for reading this, I believe God's healing comes in many ways, some, very unlikely.
ReplyDeleteBlessed to be a blessing,
Cathy
Thinking of you and her... Hoping my thoughts will cross the ocean...
