CABINET DOORS AND A LITTLE MAKEOVER

Can you help a sister out? I am trying to get my ducks in row for sample boards to show clients of some of my popular finishes. What I REALLY want to do is paint my finishes on sample cabinet doors. My friend Stacey gets hers from a friend who owns a cabinet business. When he discontinues a product, he saves his samples for her. Does anyone out there in the Birmingham or surrounding area know of anyone who can hook me up?
I went to the Habitat Store and found two smaller doors but I could only find two. It's all I need to start my job tomorrow but I would love to have the small samples. Thanks in advance if you can help......
Cabinet Doors and Drawer Box Sample Kit

I am pretty pictureless tonight.....

I have so many irons in the fire, but they are all good, both business and family.

Today, I repainted a nightstand for a client. Remember this one?

It was the matching nightstand to my numbered dresser. I don't normally do this, but the lady who bought the dresser came in the other day and asked if I could paint the nightstand to match the dresser. Oh for the love of all things, I couldn't say no. She was SO sweet. I ended up having to take mineral spirits and scrub the heck out of it to get all the wax off and sand the thing to death to get it to a point where it was paintable.  After the paint job, I wrapped the handle in twine to match the drawer pulls. and yes....I FORGOT to take an after shot!  I was happy to do it for her, not only because she was so sweet, but because they belonged together. In case you didn't see the dresser, here it is again.

One more bit of news......I am moving into another space at Urban ALL BY MYSELF! SCARY!!
I am still keeping the one with my mom, but I am branching out just a bit. I have never done a full space this large all by my lonesome. I count on her to help me accessorize! She is really good at arranging. She can still help me out, right? What would a girl do without her momma......

Start date on that one will be September 1st. I'll keep ya posted.

  1. You are going to be SO busy keeping your new booth stocked. Enjoy. I get a friend to arrange/rearrange/make nice once a week. She is 20 years younger and sees things differently. It has made a great difference in presentation (and sales) in my booths. I've learned a lot from her too.

  2. I am so exited and happy for you!! Your very own space.....you will keep it full of beautiful things I know. You were so kind to do the nightstand for your client, that's why people do and will love doing business with you.....because you are such a caring person.
I wish you only the best in your expanded/new venture and hope to be able to get up that way to see it soon!!
    Take care, VBg
