PULLING THE TRIGGER

Being sick and laying on the couch while surfing the net can potentially be a dangerous combination.  I only had so many Nate Burkus shows recorded, the news is so depressing I can't bare to listen to it anymore and my eyes began to go cross eyed from digging around Pinterest for hours and hours. So what's a girl to do?

I guess she should order a BRAND NEW camera! Yes..... yes I did.  I have been itching to get my hands on the new Nikon D7000 and it really is time for me to step it up. I cannot tell you how many times I have had this camera in my cart and abandoned it. I am excited about expanding my knowledge and honing my skills but nervous about learning a whole new camera and abandoning my old one. I am also a bit sentimental. My Nikon D70 and I have an extremely tight relationship.  I'm comfortable with her. She's been with me for a long time! This camera has been great to me and has produced some really great amateur photos.  It's been my baby for 8 long years.

I've taken some really great photos of my kids....................

I've used it to be the photographer at friends showers.............

and  for family holidays.

My D70 has also helped me start this blog of mine that I have come to love so dearly, because of all of you.

I feel a little guilty about sitting her on the shelf. I've looked through her lens and watched my kids grow up right before my eyes.  So many memories have been captured with this camera. Ah, but alas.....so many new ones are yet to be made.

  5. I'm curious about the silverware pictured above. I believe it is the same pattern my grandmother had. Is there any chance it is for sale? And, if so, how many pieces do you have?
