Yesterday was not a stellar day in the Wright household. My 3 year old and I have some sort of upper respiratory thing going on and we are going to the doctor today. For me, I have had body aches and fever along with a slight wheeze and baby girl has a croupy type cough. My sweet 11 year old is grounded from her ipod, the tv and the computer for this week. Honestly, as much as I hate how those things completely dominate our children, yesterday it was more of a punishment for me. She attempted to bake cookies and gave herself a second degree burn on her arm from the oven, dropped a chair on her toe while making a fort with her sister, breaking it open, splitting the nail and bleeding all over my floor. To top it all off, she went for a bike ride and ran into a garbage can, knocking it over and spilling all of it's contents, right in front of two boys getting off the bus that always make fun of her. We felt so sorry for her, we let her watch Storage Wars with us last night:) THEN, my sink decided to back up and it's looking like we have a trap problem. We have a plumber coming in the morning. Until then I am doing dishes in my bathtub. EW.......
But still, at the end of the day, I can say that I am beyond blessed and that we know that all things work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose.
My apologies for not posting pictures yesterday of the server. I promise I will soon.
Well, I didn't have to do much looking to pick my favorite from last week. I am sure a lot of you have seen Mikey's kitchen that Romantic Homes selected to be in their magazine. Mikey at the Shabby French Cottage has been reading my blog for a while and I his and I am just so proud of him and thrilled that he is getting such deserved recognition for this kitchen. Mikey, it certainly is magazine worthy and I can't wait to go get my copy!! Congratulations!!
Serious eye candy, right??
So what have you been up to this week? Grab a button and show us something you have made look better than it did before.....
Oh my--that kitchen is gorgeous! I hope you and your family are feeling better soon, and that life turns around for you. Wish you well, and remember this too shall pass.
ReplyDeleteOh gosh! I hope today is much better for you and your family!!! I hate wheezing - I sometimes get that if I'm having a really BAD allergic reaction and always end up on prednisone. Hope you are all feeling better soon.

ReplyDeleteI'm sorry for your rough week!! I hope you feel better, and that things turn around!
ReplyDeleteOh Kelli, that is a bad day for the record books. I can't believe all those things happened in one day. So sorry especially about the garbage can, even though the other things probably hurt more, that one probably hurt the most because of the stinky boys.
ReplyDeleteTomorrow will be a beautiful day. The kitchen is gorgeous too!
Definitely serious eye candy for sure!! Fabulous!
