FINALLY...SOME BATHROOM PICTURES!

I cannot begin to express my gratitude to all of you for all of your prayers and sweet comments for my friend Summer. I would appreciate your continued prayer as she begins her first round of chemo tomorrow. I will keep you posted on how to pray specifically as things progress.

The party on Friday night was a great success after a few glitches in my plans. Unfortunately I don't have many pictures of my decorations and my tables while the food was out. I had a percolator set up for hot chocolate and it kept blowing a fuse in my house. We had to play fruit basket turnover with all of our tables and decorations to spread out the amount of power on each circuit. As soon as we finished, the girls came flooding in. I did get a few photos and I am working on them tonight.

For now, I wanted you to finally see my bathroom floor painted. I was very impressed with how the chalk paint adhered to the floor. I did prep the surface, just for safety sake with Sherwin Williams adhesion primer. I painted about 3 coats of Coco chalk paint and then followed it by Annie Sloan's new varnish that is made specifically for floors. So far so good. It looks amazing and feels great.

My Bathroom tiles on the wall are painted in Benjamin Moore's Dove White.

The triple mirror set is from Park Hill and are made from reclaimed wood. My shower curtain was made on a budget using two left over Martha Stewart curtain panels sewn together and some scrap burlap.

Don't you love this vintage mirror? We found this at an estate sale for 40.00. If you have vintage tile like I do, try and overlap your mirror over your tile. It gave me more room in between the light fixture and the mirror and I love how it looks.

I still have a few things to do in here. I need to hem the shower curtain and mount it closer to the wall, find a rug and add a few more things on the wall. I would also love to change the fixture and add a chadelier in the ceiling with some down lights. It's fine like it is for now because I have so many other rooms that need attention!
I hope you have had a wonderful weekend!

  4. It looks extremely pretty! I love the painted tiles! Great money saver! Read your post about your friend. I will add her to my prayer list. We are going through pretty much the same thing right now. My daughter is right in the middle of chemo treatments. All we can do is pray!! God is listening, and cares about us! I just have to remember to give it all to Him, and it's for His glory!!

    Have a great week,

  7. We all know what a coat of paint will do...but it's still hard to believe how much it will change a look! This is so pretty - anyone can do this to that awful pink/black, green/black, 50's tile! Love the styling :)

  8. So glad you shared the painted tile with ASCP. I recently painted a kitchen with a French Country style for a client with ASCP and it turned out fabulous. My husband calls it "Super Paint".

    Continued prayers for your friend.

  10. Kelli, I LOVE your bathroom! I have a very 1940's bathroom and no idea what to do with it.. Limited funds as well. Eventually want to gut it, but for now I'm looking for easy updates. Your post inspired me.

  12. Love how your bathroom turned out! Did you do anything special to paint the tiles on the walls? I want to paint the tiles around my fireplace but I'm so nervous! I just found your blog tonight and I LOVE your byline. My sisters and I just opened a shop called Sweet Transformations - Old Treasures / New Life (we have the same intent with our byline, we used Eph 2:5). Bless you!
