We took a great weekend trip to downtown Marietta, a what I like to call, modern day "Mayberry" town. There are some really great shops around the square, amazing restaurants and it has the allure of the small town atmosphere that love....
We shopped the local farmers market wishing we had a cooler to transport some of the deliciousness home with us.............
We did, however, discover the most wonderful handmade pops with such interesting flavor combinations. This guy travels with his pops and is available for parties and weddings. What a great idea! You can find him at many locations in Atlanta on his website here.
We took our girls on a horse and carriage ride around the square........
And on a tour of the Coca-Cola Museum................
The best part of the museum was the tasting room! It was super cool to taste coke flavors from around the globe.
That was the icing on the cake, a great wrap up to our Spring Break...BUT.... I had a cherry on the TOP!
Today, I got to meet sweet Susan from Maple and Magnolia for lunch and a quick Homewood Antiques tour. We had such a great time. I could have talked to her for hours. She is such a delight to be around and one super talented lady!
One of my favorite transformations of hers is this old surveyors cabinet. She has a charming little guest cottage behind her farmhouse where she is lucky enough to have a fantastic little studio. If you don't already, she is a great blog to follow!

how awesome you got to meet susan! i love her and would love to meet her!
ReplyDeleteI love that table in the last photo!
ReplyDeleteI have a question about something you posted on pinterest. It is a mirror that you painted with paris grey and I was wondering where to get this paint color...who is it made by? I love the way your mirror turned out and I have an old gold mirror that is collecting dust that I would like to try this on.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much,
Heather Gibson
So wonderful to meet a fellow blogger!! You could tell that you both had a great time. Love that metal clad table too!

Heather,
ReplyDeleteThe color Paris Gray is Chalk paint and you can get it from Stacey at Faux Studio Designs. She is on my sidebar for chalk paint in Birmingham and she ships all over. Give her a call and tell her I sent you. She is so super sweet!
Good Luck!
