Last week I paid a visit to my very favorite chalk paint stockist and good friend Stacey at Faux Design Studio. I stocked up on all of my favorite colors and I am ready to go. I got started on a French dresser for my baby girl by painting it two coats of Old White. She has been so independent lately, wanting to dress herself. She had a chest of drawers that was too tall and I was so afraid she was going to hurt herself climbing up to get something. This one works beautifully and is so girly and sweet.
I stole the lamps out of my bedroom. I like them better in here. Mixing modern and vintage pieces are so fun!
Mom and I found this amazing piece of salvage with mirror and it still has its original green paint. Its been under my bed at the lake for years with intent of using it somewhere. I think it finally has a home.
I heavily distressed this piece knowing that it will probably be abused. I didn't want to stress over a scratch or a chip.
The old ballerina picture was hanging in my moms room as a little girl. She gave it us a few months ago. What a treasured heirloom this will be for us! I think it gives the art piece more of an impact by propping it up against the mirror.
I posted some "fresh in the marketplace" photos on Homewood's blog today. Please stop by and take a peek!
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!
