My master has been a LONG work in progress. I wanted a very collected look and it takes a while to achieve this. Layer upon layer it is coming together and eventually I will reveal the whole room. I bought a table from a friend last week for 50 dollars. It was the perfect color and height for my side of the bed. I love the dark wood. It adds warmth to the room and compliments my other painted pieces. In the same week I found an antique birdcage at an antique store in Florence for 14.99. It had birds already in it so I just spruced them up with a new nest and it landed on the table with my 19th century J. Gould bird print that I scored for 24 bucks. I love the aged color of the parchment.
My 39.99 Homegoods lamps give the room a little modern edge.
Curtains and a headboard are what I lack. I am hoping to get it done before Summer starts. It is sneaking up on my fast!

My friend Jenn is opening up an antique store in Bluff Park, Alabama for anyone who is interested. It gets great traffic. If you are in the surrounding area and want more info you can email me and I will get your her contact info.
I also blogged on Homewood's blog about one AMAZING folk artist. I would love for you to check out her work. You can click here to go directly to the page. Her story is moving.
