MMS CHALLENGE AND A LITTTLE BIRMINGHAM GOSSIP

I WON, I WON, I WON!!!! Y'all, I am over the moon, thrilled, that I won the Miss Mustard Seed "Copy Me" challenge and I cannot stop smiling! I LOVE, LOVE Marian and every inspiring inch of her blog. It is an honor in a million ways for Miss Donna over at Funky Junk Interiors to have selected me as the winner. Thank you to both of you. If you don't currently follow their blog, well, you should! They are two of the most inspiring and incredibly talented ladies I "know" and they both have amazing design and photography skills. I cannot wait to show you all my prizes when they arrive! On another note......
I've gotten a lot of emails from those of you who wanted updates on Consigning Interiors, so here is what I know today.
It has been like a big juicy soap opera in the land of Antique Malls and dealers around here in Birmingham. As most of you know, Saturday, one of my retail spaces at Consigning Interiors shut their doors. That very afternoon, ( word travels fast ) other store owners were beating down the doors to try and take over the shop. This after a WHOLE LOT of dealers had already moved out. Sniff Sniff..... ( there are a few I am going to miss terribly) Most of them packed up and moved across the street to Encore. I didn't move. I didn't have a clear peace about what I should do, so I did nothing.  Maybe that was a good idea because today.....Chris who owns two VERY successful businesses here in Birmingham sealed the deal. He is re designing the spaces and opening back up on March 1st. Chris owns Hoover Antiques, and Urban Suburban. He will most likely change the name and revamp but I know he will do a great job. My mom didn't have anywhere to go and we really enjoy sharing one space together. It gives us a lot of quality time.... She was happy.
 I wish I had an outdoor shot of Urban Suburban because it's really cool. These below pictures were taken with my IPhone when my sister Katie and I were in there back in the fall.  Not so great pics but they have some really cute booths.
