A MESSY WORKSPACE AND A TOE

Am I the only one who's workspace looks as bad as this?

Oh my gosh...I finally got so sick of it and I did clean it up the best I could to look like this.....

but there is still furniture EVERYWHERE!

Today my friend Laurie came to visit and to borrow my colored printer for a school project.
I had been saving the matching night stand to this dresser for her little girls room and she was going to get it too.

I had to unearth it from all of the other things surrounding it. I am telling you, it is a bodily hazard in my basement. I finally had gotten everything off the top of it. Laurie moved the night stand slightly, and a 25 POUND WEIGHT happened to be propped up against it and landed smack on her toe. Not kidding....she broke it.

I am SO embarrassed. I can here it now...."Hey Laurie, what happened to your toe?"
If that's not enough to make you want to clean up and organize.....Yikes. I know what I'm going to be doing on Saturday.
Sorry Laurie! You can send me the bill......

  2. Oh dear!! I would feel horrible too!!
My studio was a hazard as well and I have been working on it for two weeks!! And making some good progress!! Whew! About time!!

  3. Dear Kelli, I thought everyone's workspace was a mess and there you go cleaning yours up! Now I have got to follow in your footsteps! --No pun intended. Everyone must break a toe, it's like an unwritten rule if you are in a furniture zone! It was the toe's time to go--do not feel embarassed, only provide your bud with ice! xox!

  5. Oh no! I dropped two sheets of bead board on my foot today. Bruised, but not broken.

  6. My sister called me last night, ... she was chopping some wood with sneakers on.........chopped into her toe, bled like crazy, almost passed out, then almost threw up, and her two smaller kids were her medics! They live in a rural area of NH, and her husband works about 40 miles away, second shift. PTL, she's fine, and can walk around today. You just never know!!
