PARADE OF HOMES TOUR

I toured  a few homes this afternoon in the Parade of Homes looking for some ideas for a new front door and some lanscaping ideas. One of my favorite neighborhoods was a gated community of 20 homes committed to being completely "Green." Heating and cooling in these spacious homes supposedly only cost 100 per month. I cannot even imagine. I was sad at first when they tore down the original home. It was a lovely  old farmhouse from 1812 with many acres of property. Of course, it was purchased to build homes smack dab on top of each other which I cannot stand.  I did however, appreciate that they reused the beams from the original home and have placed them in the new ones. I thought I would give you a little photo tour of two of the completed homes kitchens.

You will be proud to know that I went to one of my favorite coffee shops after the tour, where they sell the most amazing gelatto and baked goods.  I ate a Larabar instead while I watched my mom eat a big honkin' chocolate chip muffin. WILL POWER today. The big hurdle will be getting to the gym tomorrow. Don't forget you still have the opportunity to enter the E-MEALZ giveaway here!

  5. Kelli, is this The Preserve you talked about the other day?? That first home...all I can say is WOW! They had me at the front door!! What a beautiful use of a tree!! The kitchen is breathtaking, I like it much better than the second one. The view of the cabinets by the stove in it would drive me batty it's so busy. Other than that it's lovely as well. Thanks for sharing! Did you get any ideas? When can we see the coatrack??
Congratulations on the Larabar ? whatever that is! Go to the gym girl, you can do it!! Take care, VBg
