At Christmas I painted these frames with a chocolate brown paint, then white washed and embellished them with silk ribbon and a vintage button. Well....only one of them sold, so after Christmas, I brought them home. They sat downstairs for months. A few weeks ago, I found this sweet elderly lady who has been making some shell crafty things and selling them at a little beach shop in Cahaba Heights. I just couldn't help myself and I bought 3 them. I wasn't sure what I would do with them but I wanted to support her and I thought they were cute!

The shell crafts were actually pins that she had made for someone to wear. I pulled the pin off and attached it to the frame. This is tedious work, what she did! She glued a cluster of small shells to a wooden round piece and then added a pin.

I think they are sweet.
I took them to Consigning Interiors yesterday. Hopefully they will do better this go around. They would be so sweet with beach pictures in them!
Chalk paint should arrive tomorrow.....yay!....I am ready to paint!
Your frames look splendid with the little shell art in the corner. I am sure they will both sell quickly now!
