Joanna Madden and her mom, Kathe Van Harte, co own Summerhouse, an antique shop in Point Pleasant Beach, New Jersey. Joanna's beautiful home was recently featured in the February issue of Country Living Magazine. This issue has been one of my very favorites of the year so far. I am in the middle of redecorating with neutrals and this issue was all about the simple beauty of white. Joanna and her mom were both at the Lucketts fair with their fabulous finds and wares. My mom bought some really interesting old white cue balls to sit in a bowl and I bought one of Joanna's fantastic bracelets made from vintage findings. Their booth was really fun to look at and I really wish that I had taken more pictures than I did.
This is the actual bracelet that I wore straight out of the tent. It looked great with my new summer scarf from the Loft.
The merchandising ability in this tent was fantastic as well. There was such an eclectic mix of so many different items but they were all neutral and looked amazing together.
I love their style, every last bit of it. I am happy they will be at the Country Living Fair in October. This will be my next excursion with my mom and my sister for my birthday. This time we will be able to drive so we can bring home the goods!
Have a great and safe Memorial Weekend!

We used to go to their old shop all the time in Beach Haven NJ. Loved it.

Love the idea of the softballs in the glass. My hubby played baseball growing up and he has a collection of his homerun balls that are all signed by his teammates. They've just been sitting in a box all these years, but that would be a really neat way to make use of them. And he would love having something of his on display, and not just my "junk." : )
ReplyDeleteUm, LOVE the softballs in the hurricanes! I'll be doing this today. . .
