I'm going to have to get used to blogging, painting and thrifting on a summer schedule. This is the first time I have had both kids home to entertain since I started Restore Interiors. I am still trying to get organized!
I took my youngest with me today to the gym and then to JoAnne's Fabrics and Crafts. These people get WAY to much of my money. I have been tyring to figure out a "small" that I could create that would compliment my furniture and other restored items and that would also not make much of a mess in my itty bitty house. I've been snooping around on Etsy for inspiration and I found these amazing necklace collages. I am in LOVE with this store, Lonkoosh, from Israel.

I love the way she has taken beautiful vintage parts and put them together as an amazing piece of art.......
And I just had to show you these pictures from my brother in law, Rob. Rob was in his office when the tornado hit Tuscaloosa in April. He is blessed to be alive.
Rob was laying, literally, just right underneath this piece of paneling while the back end of the storm hit them. Amazingly, it stayed on top of him and protected him from the flying debris.

This was his Title Company. You can't make out anything at all.

And this was his brand new Passat. Minor in the light of the lives lost in this storm.

I love the jewelry collages your have found and can't wait to see Your new creations!
ReplyDeleteThe devastation of these storms is just heart-wrenching...
