INSPIRATION

I am zonked. My oldest has been in an intense drama camp for the past two weeks and today was opening night for their show.  I am one proud momma tonight. My girl had a pretty huge gig in one of the acts and she did a fabulous job. I have to admit, when she does these things, I am WAY more nervous than she is. I felt like I was going to be sick, up until she was done with her main part. She is at the age now, where she is starting to be really self conscious about her looks. She is 11 and going into the 6th grade. She wears glasses, but they are beautiful on her. Now, she is just like her momma.....BLIND. I can't see a thing without my contacts or glasses and she is just right behind me. I want you to know, she kept me a nervous wreck tonight. If that girl did not walk out on that stage with NO GLASSES ON!!!! I about had a come apart. I thought, "Oh dear Lord she is going to step right off that stage!!" What in the WORLD would possess her to think she should do this??? I have to admit, I thought she would realize she couldn't see and put them back on but, NO... I bit my nails the entire show. She nailed every step, every note, every line. I couldn't believe it. Will she wear them tomorrow? UM....YES.  AGH!! Does it get worse? I am not ready for a preteen.

I did work some today. While she was at rehearsals I painted at a clients house. I am almost done with her china cabinet and I cannot wait for you to see the reveal. We are going to do some metallics on the piece with hardware and maybe a little metallic wax. It's going to be amazing. My client sent me her inspiration picture I thought I would share with you. I am sorry I don't know where it came from to give credits. Although it's baby furniture the colors are great on any piece.  Stay tuned for the reveal! It should be sometime next week.

Wish me luck...We have two more shows. YIKES!
