I finished up at my friend Doran's house this morning. Her daughter's furniture turned out SO well. I love the colors they picked out for the room. Doran is on our local radio, here in Birmingham, as the Savvy Mom. She discusses topics that concern the family, thoughts on saving, and making your budget stretch a little further. Ya'll, she is a girl after my own heart and a true Southern Lady. I just LOVE her. You can find her on facebook here, as well as what channel you can tune into to listen. Doran wanted to re purpose what she had as well as turn thrift store items into beautiful and functional pieces for her home. In this first picture you can see this oh so fabulous, black pleated pillow she scored for 25cents. That's right folks, 25 cents. It's in PERFECT condition too.

Not bad at all, but it had a lot of wear on it and it wasn't fitting for a teenager.

Charleston has been busy in her room with her mom, making bulletin boards and recovering her lampshades in her new fabric. Didn't they do a great job? I just love the colors.

Doran, my friend, I enjoyed every minute of being in your home. Thank you so much for making me feel like family.
Okay everyone! Don't forget about the Annie Sloan Chalk Paint Contest! You can link up or find more information here. I have already seen some pretty stiff competition.

Everything works - and the handles on the dresser are the final 'pop' - they tie in so well with the entire room.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty, young and fresh.
ReplyDeleteKelli, the room looks great! I have to ask you though, what Cricut Cartridge did you use for the font? I'm hoping I already own it. ;)
