My new camera equipment came on Tuesday. She and I are having a hard time getting acquainted but I know that as soon as I figure out her personality, we are going to get along just fine. This camera does so much more than my beginner camera and I want to take advantage of all of the great features it has to offer. One thing that I have already discovered that I love is the 18-150mm lens that came in the kit. I can get so much more in my frame. I can now show you a much larger part of my family room that I am working on. The room is not complete. It still needs a few more layers, but it's certainly getting there.
I was also able to re take the photos of my media cabinet. There really was not a good angle using my 50mm lens the last time I tried to show you this. Now you can see the entire piece and the details a whole lot better. For those of you who asked for more photos of this, I am so sorry it took so long!
I don't have 3 of those chairs, just in case you were wondering. That would be a little overkill. I moved one to the corner for this photo to cover up the big gaping hole! I am still looking for just the right chair to go in that spot.
If you didn't see this in a previous post, this gorgeous piece of furniture was a very dated 70's piece. I fell in love with it's curves, it's beautiful drawers, the quality and the fact that it is on wheels. This finish is by far my favorite ASCP combination. I used Country Gray on the base of the piece with old white in the details. I distressed the edges and antiqued it just a little bit with some glaze. I then gave it several coats of poly, knowing it would take a severe beating from my kids.
I seriously thought I was going to have to replace the hardware but after I finished painting and put it back on, I wouldn't have it any other way. It's beautiful.
Picking up dressers like these are a good idea. They are so versatile. This piece can function in it's original intent as a dresser, or it can be used totally outside the box as a media cabinet or a buffet.
Have you painted a piece with chalk paint? It's not to late to enter it into Stacey's chalk paint contest right here on my blog for a chance to win some incredible ASCP goodies! For more information take a peek here. You don't have to have a blog to enter. All you need to do is have it hosted somewhere like photobucket and make sure you enter your email. Good Luck!
Linking to the fabulous Furniture Feature Friday....
I'm jealous of your new camera and all that is will do. The furniture is soft and lovely. And the TV cabinet is perfect. Happy chair hunting.

That new camera seems to be amazing... But I'm sure the cabinet is perfect in itself, new camera or not!
