A HAPPY BIRTHDAY

This weekend starts the crazy season I was telling you about at the beginning of the month. Yesterday, we spent all day downtown, participating in the Veterans Day Parade with my 11 year old. She had to be there at noon to line up with her girl scout troop. Being the super organized mom that I am....NOT.....I didn't think to look at what time the parade actually started. I assumed shortly after line up. My youngest ate yogurt for breakfast and my oldest who was in the parade only wanted to drink a glass of milk. I had NO idea that she wouldn't be done until 4:00!! Little bit and I found a seat in our comfy lawn chairs on the corner of 19th street and ended up eating popcorn and a candy apple for lunch. This did not help my clean eating experiment AT ALL. Thankfully the apple gave us a little bit of juice because we had nothing to drink. Chick-fil-A never tasted so good after it was all over. I won't make that mistake again next year!

Today is baby girl's birthday. I cannot believe she is already 4. Doesn't it seem that the older we get, the faster the time flies? Just think of how slowly 4 years of high school went by. For me, I thought I would never graduate.....But this 4 years of her precious life seemed like it had super speed. Every time I look at her precious face, I am reminded of just how good God is. She was such a miraculous blessing after a miraculous healing of our marriage years ago. She is one more reason this blog is named "RESTORE" Interiors. In Joel 2:25 The Lord says, " So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten."

Thank you Jesus for "Restoring" my "Interiors" and giving us back what the enemy had stolen from us.
Happy Birthday sweet girl.  I can't imagine life without you.

The parties don't end here! I am hosting a baby shower tomorrow that I have to bake for tonight! I will be making clean eating pumpkin spice cupcakes along with a trifle that will be delicious! I will share my photos along with the recipes. They would make great holiday desserts and be guilt free!
Have a beautiful Saturday.

  3. Such a beautiful little girl, with eyes filled with love and innocence. Yes, a gift from the Lord. Joel 2:25 is precious to me, too, Kelli. Thanks for the reminder of that, and the explanation of why you named your blog "Restore."

  4. She is beautiful for sure! Happy Birthday to her!
Oh what a long day at the parade. Whoever organized the troop to go should have suggested food and drink be taken and what was all entailed. Hmmmm!! Not good at all!!
Praise God for his restorations!! He is so good!
    Hugs
