FA-LA-LA-LA-LA

Well, it's December! I cannot believe it!  Projects for work slow WAY down this month and I am planning on tackling a lot of house projects that I have wanted to start for a LONG time. One of those projects will be my bedroom.....It is SO over due.

My area of concentration at this moment is my oldest daughter's 1st annual FA-LA-LA-LA-LA Christmas party. This is something that she has been BEGGING me to do for such a long time. She has the hospitality gene, so I suppose, as a good mother should, I need to be helping her hone her skills.  I am bracing myself and my house for 16 squealing 11 and 12 year old girls.  It has been really fun coming up with the decorations from what I already have in my Christmas stash.   My grandmother gave me hundreds of vintage Christmas balls in so many colors. I am thrilled to say the least, to finally be able to use them for a girly little party! So many of them are pink!

This party is going to be all desserts. I thought I would get the girls all sugared up and then send them home to their parents. I'm nice like that :) The dessert bar will be decked out with lots of glassware. I have a huge collection of platters and vases as well as some fostoria that belonged to my grandmother. I made a cake stand out of an upside down glass vase and a glass platter. I used my ornaments underneath for a little more sparkle.

Even some of my ornaments are dessert themed! I found several of these cute little cupcakes.

The party is December the 9th so I will be sharing a lot of this through out the week.

On another note, I have a FANTASTIC giveaway for you tomorrow! I promise you.... You will NOT want to miss this. It's the biggest and best giveaway I have ever done on my blog. Come back and check it out tomorrow night!

  3. I treasure my grandmother's mother's ornaments more than any I've collected. I treat them like they are Ukranian eggs or something, when I handle them, package them, and hang them :)

  4. I treasure my grandmother's mother's ornaments like they are as valuable as a prized Ukranian egg. I package them specially, breath a sigh once they are hung onthe tree securely, etc. I love them! Yours are so pretty, and there's nothing wrong with pink ones on a tree of red and green, in my opinion :)
