GINGER BREAD TAGS, MUGS AND TEACHER GIFTS

We have one more day of school before we are officially out for Christmas break. I am very ready to just be doing Christmas with my family. I spent the day with my friend Laurie stuffing and wrapping teacher gifts. I hope none of you are reading this tonight....I'm giving away the surprise!

Do you guys remember these mugs that were so popular at Urban Green before the tornado demolished the store?

My friend Jamie is still selling them and I have them in both of my spaces at Urban Suburban in Pelham if you need a last minute gift. There are not many white ones left but we have some gorgeous red ones as well as deep green.

We stuffed them full of Girl Scout chocolate covered raisins and Miss Mary's homemade caramels. I had a really hard time keeping my hand out of the caramel bag. They are a little bit of heaven in your mouth.

I also used some left over tags from the girl's Christmas party. I got them from Shin Dig Party to Go.

Unfortunately I ran out of time for an after picture and they had to go in Laurie's car for delivery. We wrapped them up in a clear bag and tied them off with hemp and a gingerbread tag.

How about you? Did you give teacher gifts this year or did the new crazy law about not being able to bless your child's teacher in that way effect your gift giving? I'm not sure... that may just be a crazy Alabama thing. I think it's insane. I would love to know your thoughts!

  1. Kelli,

Is it possible to have them shipped to Texas? I'm looking for a birthday present for my grandmother & she would love these!

    Thank you!

  3. Wow, I didn't know there was a law about giving teachers gifts!! We're in NY state, and my grandson did get a note that parents were supposed to give a gift of art supplies for the classroom instead of gifts for anyone, even the teacher...
Anyway, Kelli, I've given you a blog award over on my blog, and you don't have to do anything about it, or you may choose to play along. In any event, I love your blog!
