Spring is in the air....although it was still 32 degrees outside. We really have not had a winter at all. I think this was only the second cold front we have had all winter. I don't mind at all. Despite the possibility of tornadoes, spring weather is my absolute favorite. It also marks the start of yard sale season around here! My mom and my sister and I had so much fun this weekend. My small inventory is really low for the store and it's time to start picking again, restocking my shelves. I love all of the things I found this weekend. I picked up some large enamel ware bowls, great for icing down drinks in the summer, a galvanized tub, an old flower bucket made in England and some old wooden cream cheese trays with advertising on them. They are perfect for organizing drawers in a fun way. I bought some old bottles, some silver, a few large baskets, some fantastic old string for making hang tags, a vintage Moroccan outdoor lantern, hobnail glass vases and a big ben clock from the 70's that I LOVE! This is another thing that reminds me of my grandmother. She had them everywhere.
Here are a few pictures. You will see all of this at Homewood Antiques and Marketplace in the next week. I am working on both my spaces really hard this week. There comes a point when they just get stale. I am reworking some of the furniture that has been sitting for a while as well as figuring out a workable layout. I'll post pictures when I am done!
This industrial little drawer set was my very favorite find. How awesome would this be on a desk with pencils and pens or in a craft room. LOVE IT.
HA! and after I bought a TON of vintage clothes pins on ebay, wouldn't you know I found some at an estate sale for WAY cheaper! I bought the whole bag for 1.00!!
Oh well.....a girl can never have too many.
What a fun weekend, and LOVE your finds - especially the cheese boxes. :)
