A PARTY AND SOME ROSES

Well, I did it. I survived the weekend at the lake with Saturday being the day we had 10 crazy 12 year old girls up for my oldest daughters birthday. I have to say, I was really spoiled. My mother in law was so amazing for the entire weekend. She had the place decked out like a Hawaiian luau and food for an army. The girls had so much fun and were completely exhausted after it was over and so was I! We got home late yesterday and I have been worthless today. I cleaned bedrooms and got zero painting done. Oh well....tomorrow is a new day.

Before I left I had a chat with my sweet neighbor across the street. He has the most beautiful garden and amazes me everyday how much he works that yard. He is 90 years old and still cuts his own grass, weeds, grows vegetables, rakes leaves, spreads pine straw and whatever else you have to do to keep up a yard. His wife was written up years ago in Southern Living Magazine for her beautiful gazebo she built by herself and her gorgeous rose garden. He still has many of those antique roses and he snipped a few for me to enjoy.

We had a little photo shoot together. These guys smelled up my entire family room with the most beautiful aroma. He was so sweet. He told me to come and cut anything I needed out of his yard for photo shoots. I can't wait until his hydrangeas bloom!
I hope you all enjoyed your weekend. See you tomorrow for Restored It Wednesday.
