Well, I went garage "Sailing" as we call it around here, with my sister and my mom. This time my 10 year old tagged along. She was up before I was and ready to fly out the door. It was still dark outside. I think I have her hooked. I'm not sure if that's a good thing, or a bad thing. Our first stop was a neighbor of ours who was having a fund raiser for Ovarian Cancer research. Several years ago I went to this sale when her niece was battling the cancer. She passed away this year and the sale was for her foundation they set up. I got some really great things and was glad I got to support a great cause. Here are a few pictures and some ideas! Enjoy!
My pictures are not all that great today, because I took them in my dungeon where I work! My basement has terrible lighting. Imagine that..I have a dad and a husband in the lighting business. This is something I need to work on! I have to take my pieces outside when I'm done to make sure they are finished!
I found this great footstool for a few bucks. It looks like a dog took a few bites out of it :) Nothing that a little Elmer's wood filler, some sand paper and paint can't fix though! It's going to be a great pieces when I'm done. Painted legs and a linen slipcover I think..Or burlap...I have not quite decided yet.
This is a GREAT drop leaf end table I picked up. It has great construction and fabulous hardware. It's going to be painted a creamy white and antiqued with a burnt umber glaze.
And Lastly, I LOVE birds. I can't pass them up when I see them. I picked these little pheasants up at the fundraiser as well. Birds seem to be all the rage right now, and they are selling well for me at the shop!
I'll be working on these this week, so when I'm done I will share the afters!! Have a great day!! will be linking with Nifty Thrifty Tuesday...

I'm stopping by from Nifty Thrifty Thursday. Those are some great pieces. I'm looking forward to seeing what you do with them.
