MY FIRST FREEBIE

Today was a great furniture day! Two of the gals at Urban Green helped me out in the furniture department, big time. I sold my little french server today along with a few other things and my back stash is really low.

 
Tanory sold me and awesome chest of drawers, a french dresser and a great desk. I just picked them up tonight so it was too dark to take pictures. I'll show you soon!
Shannon gave me this gorgeous little french piece for free. I never find things on the side of the road or have people just give me stuff like some of  you guys do, so I was THRILLED to get this, to say the least. The glass is out of the side and it has no shelves but I think it has great potential. I love ANYTHING frenchy.
The door is warped and the hinges are bent and I have to replace the glass with something. I'm thinking about french gray with chicken wire??

    I personally I think it would look great in my living room!! Don't know about the chicken wire though........it's so elegant. But, whatever you do I know it will look great! I think I see a trip to B'ham in my future!!

    I am so torn over the chicken wire. Glass would be SO expensive because of the custom cuts and the door is in really bad shape. I HATE to paint over that gorgeous burl but there are places that I don't know how in the world I would repair. UGH!

    i think french grey and chicken wire sounds divine! i love the juxtaposition of the rustic chicken wire w/ the elegant lines of the piece! just go for it -whatever you do i know it'll be great-it always is! congrats on ur 1st freebie! i love that!
