RESTORED IT WEDNESDAY

This week I chose to feature Tammy's yellow Drexel desk from Forever Decorating. You guys spit out some amazing projects this week, but what spoke to me in this post was how Tammy has begun teaching her daughter how to be a good steward of her finances as she ventures out into the world on her own. I am so grateful that my mom took the time to teach me how to paint and restore furniture, and how to decorate my home on a dime. It's not only a more economical way to go, but it's so much more fulfilling and gratifying to know that you did it yourself.  Tammy bought this amazing Drexel Dresser and used it to teach her daughter how to paint.

It is precious and I think she did an amazing job, on the dresser and on the walls!

Thanks Tammy!  I too, love involving my kids in my projects. My youngest wanted to help me paint candlesticks the other day. The light is not so great but I couldn't help but take a picture of these sweet hands wanting to be involved in everything her mommy was doing. I only had a split second and it focused on the candle and blurred her hand. But I still LOVE it.

Cherish these moments ladies....it goes by way to fast. Before I blink, they will be out on their own like Tammy's young daughter...*Sniffle*

Now it's time to show us what ya got this week! What have you made look better than it did before?
All I ask is that you link directly to a blog post and that you please link back. You can grab this button for your post. I will pick my favorite to feature next week!
