DON'T FORGET!

My day started this morning at the gym in a Pilates class. If only I had a video camera or you could have been a fly on the wall. If you have been reading my blog for a while, you know I am trying to lose the last 10 pounds of baby weight and tone up this old girl. The cellulite didn't really bother me when I couldn't see it in the mirror but when it wrapped around to the front... well lets just say I knew it was time to take action. YIKES. Dang it, if I could just keep the sugar out of my mouth.....
I've been trying out many different classes. I tried step and made the mistake of attending the "advanced" class. Not a good idea for beginners. There was a 70 year old man next to us that absolutely put me to shame. It was embarrassing. That dude was spinning around and doing the cha- cha and hopping around better than anyone in there! I hope I'm that spry when I'm his age.  I am still having a hard time walking, my calves are so sore.

This morning, I went to my second Pilates class. The first one, I fell off the big ball and couldn't keep my balance nor could I even attempt half of the things some of these girls were doing with their bodies. The second class, I got a better hang of it but it was still REALLY difficult. My friend Laurie was with me and her little Pilates ring that goes between your knees, went flying across the room! It was hilarious!  It was supposed to be serene and calm in there and we were all dying laughing, not only because of the ring, but because of how stupid we looked. I have to admit, I don't love  it. I think I am going to stick to my muscle works and Zumba. It's a lot more fun and it seems to be working. I started back on weight watchers last week and have lost 2 pounds. YAY!

After Pilates we ran around getting last minutes stuff for my oldest and her dance recital tomorrow, I took my Freckled Laundry tags to the shop and then tried to figure out how to put super short hair into a high bun. Challenging yes...but it can be done! We had dress rehearsal tonight for 4 HOURS and now I am zonked.

Don't forget  that I will be taking the Annie Sloan Chalk Paint Class tomorrow at Stacey's Studio. I will have full details and pictures tomorrow night so make sure you come back and check those out.

See you tomorrow......

  5. I don't like Pilates either...that's why my muffin top is more impressive than my toned arms and legs I guess! Can't wait to hear about the chalk paint class. Thanks for hosting your linky party.

  6. LOL on the old man spinning around! I can't do Yoga, I can't do Pilates. I can do Zumba, and lift a load of weights, but ask me to be quiet and hold myself in uncomfortable positions for a while, I can't do it! Good for you, you do the Pilates class for me, maybe my core will get stronger by reading your blog :)
