MY URBAN SUBURBAN CHRISTMAS TREE

My little one has been sick and out of school this week, limiting my time to get ready for the Christmas open house. She felt much better yesterday and so I took her with me to put up my big tree. She helped me get the tree put together and all of the lights on and we went back today to finish up the ornaments. I am still working on a topper. There is still so much to do but the tree was a major accomplishment.

A galvanized tub is a great alternative to a tree skirt. I love it because you don't have to keep straightening it up!

Inspired by the ones Miss Mustard Seed made, I created my own music wreath ornaments. I love working with paper. It doesn't cost much and it looks great with the naturals. Notice the glittery Merry Christmas ornament in the background? That is from Miss Mustard Seed herself.......

The tree was also a great place to house my burlap bows.
Ah! AND I forgot to show you this chest I finished last week.
It's been painted and glazed in two different gray colors.

Our Holiday Open House is November 11-13. Mark it on your calendars and come and see us!

  4. I think I just found my perfect Christmas inspiration! LOVE that the tree is both vintage, with the sheet music ornaments, and rustic, with the burlap and pinecones. THANK YOU so much for posting these images Kelli!
