NEW USES FOR VINTAGE BAKEWARE

Years ago when people actually had the time, or I guess I should say, took the time, to cook they had an immense amount of little gadgets and tools to make things in the kitchen. One thing that you see every now and then are tiny tin tartlets and geletin molds. Les, my husband, remembers his grandmother making congealed salad in some of these with the layers of whipped cream and nuts and different kinds of jello. So with the abundance of these adorable little tins, I wanted to figure out a new use for them. I discovered that they are fabulous for organizing jewerly and also desk asccessories such as paper clips and rubberbands. You can line a jewerly drawer with dozens of them to keep your earrings and necklaces from getting into a tangled mess, like mine are right now. I need to take my own advice!

Another fabulous organizer are vintage Bundt pans! This one was my grandmothers. Notice the focus on my Vintage Auburn Bangle...OH YEAH....If I lost some of you here, I am so sorry, please forgive me.. These slip easily into dresser drawers and can hold a large number of bracelets, pins, earrings and rings. They can also be used for office supply organization.

Do you have any ideas other than jewelry and office supplies? If so I would love for you to share them with everyone in the comments section! Now go clean out that jewelry drawer!

The tartlets that I have here will be available at Consigning Interiors in Pelham starting tomorrow. However, because they are not breakable, I will be happy to ship them to you. They are 1.25 each.

On a more serious note, you all know how much I love to garage sale. Putting on a garage sale is another story! It's a lot of hard work, but you can make a lot of money, if it is done right. This Saturday I will be helping my mother in Law, Jane, put on a garage sale for an elderly lady who BADLY needs a new roof on her house. Her daughter does not have the money to take care of her and her house is deteriorating very rapidly. We will be having the garage sale here in Hoover at 5144 Kirkwall Lane in Inverness, Alabama this Saturday morning, October 16th. If you like to yard sale, please come by between 7 and 5 to support this worthy cause. If you live here in our area and would like to donate something for the sale, please email me and I can arrange to come by and pick it up from you. Here is a picture of this precious widows home. If you can help in any way please let me know. Thanks!

I will be posting this at Coastal Charm and Thrifty Thursday at Bloggeritaville
